Dear awkl, can you provide the following information please?

Product name / model / version number:
    e.g. WPJ344LV/HV-A 6A08
    e.g. WLE300NX

CompexWRT firmware version and build date:
    e.g. v2.2.1 b160309
The firmware filename is fine e.g.
    wpj344a-v2.2.1-b160309-16M.img

Please also attach your AP's backup configuration file:
    http://wiki.compex.com.sg/index.php?title=The_System_Tab#Backup.2FFlash_Firmware

Please be as detailed as possible, in describing the steps that you had taken to see this problem. This will allow us to reproduce the problem so that we can fix it.

    Have a nice day!

    Best,
    Winston

  4. Hello Winston,
I am using compex model WPJ344HV.
I have three router boards, one has default Openwrt with Attitude adjustment, second board is flashed with
    openwrt-15.05.1-ar71xx-generic-wpj344-16M-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin. (https://downloads.openwrt.org/chaos_calmer/15.05.1/ar71xx/generic/ ).
    Third board has firmware wpj344a-v2.3.3-b160701-16M.img.
All of the boards display the same error in bootlog.
I am using a custom RF card which has AR9390.

    Dear awkl,

It appears that the miniPCIe card seems to be the contributing factor.

May I ask which product are you using for the miniPCIe card? Would you like to try using one of the Compex cards?
    http://www.compex.com.sg/wifi-module-overview/

How about swapping the card, cleaning the card contacts, and trying again?

    Best,
    Winston

  6. Hi Winston,
I am not using any standard miniPCIe card, but a custom one. It uses atheros chipset AR9390 (AR9xxx). And it has been designed to operate in TVWS frequency.
    (e.g. http://www.doodlelabs.com/products/radio-transceivers/sub-ghz-range/174-790-mhz-tv-band-devices/ )

I wanted to know what must be the reason for "Failed to initialize device".
Also I couldn't find any jumper setting on compex WPJ344HV board for getting 5.0V. The hardware guide describes that J5 of the same board gives 5.0V. But I am getting 3.3V on J5. What could be the reason for that?

    Dear awkl,

You will have to use a jumper to short the J5 jumper pins.

Then the board will supply 5V to the miniPCIe card.

    Best,
    Winston
